Amazon has a DRM (Digital Rights Management) system implemented that will link any purchased eBook to a personal account, and to one or several registered devices.
In principle, this should protect authors against piracy, but it also will stop some customers from buying, since they are not willing to provide personal data.
For my current eBooks, Amazon suggested to have DRM active, since it was "new" content (I am not publishing some classic book without copyright). I activated it, and I am afraid it cannot be deactivated...
What is your opinion? Would I get more sales if I sell my eBooks without DRM?
