You may know that I am working on my next few books (one on Photography tips, then another one on InkScape vector graphics application). It is going slower than expected due to workload in my "real" job...

Still I want to try something new - I want to create howto videos and upload them to YouTube... Can you recommend the right application to make the screen captures? I could work on Windows, Mac, Ubuntu... main thing is that video / audio stream should need very little editing afterwards...

PLease leave your hint here!

(Oh, and I am starting to think on another book on Scribus, the free layout application...)
