Well, after several articles on digital photography and the dawn of traditional or analog one, it seems that sudenly we can see its revival, at least among some groups of youngsters, eager to try "new" things...

The posts that I could find in Internet (in Spanish) here for example, they all seem to refer to a Spanish writer, Rosario González from Colpisa agency, by end of January 2012. According to those posts, this new trend is booming in the usual worldwide cultural cities, so the trend will probably land in Spain in a few months from now.

So I will rescue my old laboratory gear and the film scanner. Most likely, my wife will kill me before all is set up again...

But from this I can produce some (again) interesting posts on the chemical process and the ways to cheat it... but of course, film developing at home (really easy, in the case of black and white film) is only the first step; it has to be followed by the positive process in the dark room - that is where the real magic of film photography is, and where time passes by so fast!

Of course, you may find software and Apps to reach similar effects on your computer or even in your iPhone. But this will never be the same, the thrill of waiting until the final result (valid or not) is visible, the accelerated heartbeats...

Leaving apart the Polaroids, which included internal developing, biggest share will be for "inherited" gear from our parents, together with the new generation of plastic, Lomographic cameras, available at very low budget on any photo shop or in Internet... Now, the problem will be the availability of cheap film development. Again, I suggest to start with home made black-and-white film processing... I'm already working on the next post!
