About five months ago I wrote a post on the presentation of TriggerTrap (a programmable digital camera shutter based on the Arduino open platform). Well, since then, people at TriggerTrap seem to be working quite hard, and only last Monday, April 30th, they presented an App (TriggerTrap Mobile App) for Apple devices (iPhone / iPad).

TriggerTrapMobileApp

The application ($9.99) can control the built-in device camera, and by means of a dongle (further $9.99) it can connect to external cameras.

Notice that in this case the Arduino platform is NOT used anymore, since the calculation power of the mobile device is used instead, together with its microphone (in case of the cellphone), movement sensor, GPS... allowing for multiple triggering flavours. In this case, TriggerTrap remains just as company name.

Of course, multiple-shot possibilities are also included; together with the traditional time-lapse, you will find the "distance-lapse" option (related to GPS data), which allows for the creation of sequences with a moving device.

So far, no Android compatible version is available. But people at TriggerTrap is working hard on this...
